Event Report
2nd time of Next Generation Development Program for Japanese junior tennis players, following last year, with Kei Nishikori and FR Foundation in Florida, US.
Kei answered each junior player's questions with practical examples, providing a valuable opportunity for them to achieve their specific goals and dreams.
At the beginning of practice, Kei told the junior players to clarify the purpose of this whole session, to have a clear attitude toward tennis, and to be prepared to become a professional tennis player.
Kei demonstrated how to hit a strong forehand as some junior players look on. This was a precious opportunity for both juniors to experience the speed and weight of a world-class player's ball.
A junior player, who was struggling to hit the strong backhand, tried to improve his weak point, hearing with Kei's advice.
Kei gave a lecture for a female junior player on forehand stance, which provided a great opportunity to take a fresh look at the importance of fundamentals.
Kei and juniors had a social event after the practie session with the warm and relaxed atmosphere. Both enjoyed talking about things other than tennis, such as school life, hobbies, and how they spend their time on and off the court, making it a valuable opportunity to get to know each other's personalities.
