About LifeWear magazine Issue 07

"Old yet new. Some things have a way of being both at once. This issue of LifeWear magazine explores the persistent freshness of today's classics. Imagine a cafe founded a hundred years ago, serving the latest specialty coffee. In some ways it feels like time has stopped, and yet the sense of change is palpable.

Things like this are a joy to discover. Issue 07 focuses on “Today’s Classics,” namely classic ideas and clothes that, at first glance, have a traditional or basic design but have been updated with new materials or modern patterns, or have been tweaked to include new details and increased functionality. This mood permeates the designs and styling for UNIQLO’s Fall & Winter collection."

The outdated falls out of fashion, while the flashy is soon weeded out. But the old things that feel perennially new have a special value. “Today’s classics” are central to the spirit of LifeWear, which aims to honour history while constantly evolving.
