About Uniqlo and Mame Kurogouchi

Uniqlo is proud to collaborate with Mame Kurogouchi, a Japanese womenswear brand garnering worldwide recognition for designs that feature intricately-constructed details and unconventional textiles. Blending exquisite designs that enhance the curves of a woman’s body with Uniqlo’s leading technology to create ultimate comfort, the collection introduces items that transition seamlessly from innerwear to clothes.

As the world undergoes a transformation, Mame Kurogouchi designer Maiko Kurogouchi has seen a dramatic shift in women’s wardrobes and expectations for everyday undergarments. A long-time admirer of Uniqlo’s comfortable and functional innerwear, she imagined how beautiful design could further elevate women’s relationships to the most intimate garments in their closets.

Inspired by gently swaying fields bathed in golden autumn sunlight, the new season features Grandrelle yarn in deep, layered hues resembling the light of the transitioning seasons, updated knitting technology to create sophisticated lace textiles, and sheer items with delicate mesh designs that shimmer beautifully on the skin. In addition to the smooth, thin HEATTECH silk blend fabric, we are unveiling a HEATTECH wool blend waffle material that is extremely soft to the touch. We have also a *recycled nylon material for some of the inner items. Let the glow of Mame Kurogouchi’s iconic designs soothe and illuminate your days.*Recycled nylon material is used in some innerwear products. Mix ratio varies depending on the product.

Because we believe the smallest comforts and beauty in our day lead to great change. We hope the new Uniqlo and Mame Kurogouchi Collection adds light to your world, from the inside out.
