UNIQLO and Toray celebrate The Art & Science of LifeWear at a special event at MoMA in New York

On Monday, September 15th, UNIQLO hosted a special event entitled The Art & Science of LifeWear at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York City. This special event was held in cooperation with UNIQLO’s strategic technology partner Toray, on the day of UNIQLO's 20th anniversary in the United States.

The event put a spotlight on the technologies and partnerships that underpin LifeWear, and featured newly-appointed UNIQLO Global Brand Ambassador Cate Blanchett, as well as the surprise announcement of contemporary artist KAWS as UNIQLO’s first ever Artist in Residence.

During the event, UNIQLO’s Creative Director Clare Waight Keller hosted a panel discussion with Global Brand Ambassadors Roger Federer and Cate Blanchett. In a lively conversation, the panelists discussed life and LifeWear - offering their own unique perspectives on style, and speaking about the meaning of their partnerships with UNIQLO, and what excites them about the future of LifeWear.

The event also invited attendees to explore interactive displays showcasing the pillars of LifeWear. In the Technology For All section, guests could explore the history of the collaboration between UNIQLO and Toray. The Art For All section celebrated the next generation of UNIQLO’s partnership with MoMA. Finally, the Heart For All display showcased UNIQLO’s commitment to helping improve the lives of all people around the world through LifeWear.
