How to make your jeans last longer
Nothing compares to a great pair of jeans, especially when you’ve finally broken them in and made them feel like an old favourite. As the hardest working item in your wardrobe, you want each pair to last as long as possible – that’s a win for your wallet, your wardrobe and the planet, too.

We’ve put together a few handy tips for you to follow to keep your jeans looking and feeling their best.

Less is more

Your jeans keep their fit much better the less you wash them – especially if they’re stretchy. Wash them once every 10-12 wears to keep them in tip-top shape.

Spot on

When stains happen, forego the entire wash and just use a cloth or toothbrush with mild soap and cold water to spot clean the targeted area.

Give them the cold shoulder

Not only is a cold wash a great way to use less energy in general, but it will also prevent your jeans from shrinking and fading.

Flip reverse it

Turning your jeans inside out helps to preserve their colour and minimise abrasion from other items of clothing that can cause fading and wear along the hems, fly and waistband edges.

Ditch the dryer

Dryers are bad news. Hang your jeans or lay them flat to keep their fit, shape, and elasticity going strong.

Hands on

Washing your jeans by hand is an even better way to preserve them. Use a small amount of mild detergent in cold water and let them soak for around 15-30 minutes before rinsing clean.
