Supporting marine biodiversity conservation with ABS-CBN Foundation

As our new partner for environment conservation, UNIQLO did an employee engagement activity to visit our adopted site in Mabini, Batangas. Together with the Citizen Science volunteers, the team conducted a fish and coral survey to monitor the health of marine life in the area compared to the initial visit in July 2024. The volunteers were also educated on the processes for the year-long monitoring. UNIQLO also extended donations of diving materials for the volunteers to use as they continue the upkeep and survey of the marine life in the area for the next few months.

Preserving Philippine Biodiversity through Haribon Foundation

As part of our long-term partnership with Haribon Foundation, UNIQLO gathered staff volunteers to plant the second batch of seedlings coming from paper bag proceeds in their adopted site located in Tanay, Rizal. Over 4,000 seedlings were planted in this area, and would be under the care of the local tribe of Katmagat for the next three years. The local community would ensure the care and nurture of the seedlings, eventually growing into trees and reviving the Philippines' forest cover.

Encouraging creativity at SOS Children's Village in Cebu

As part of our efforts in opening our newest store in Mandaue at SM City J Mall, UNIQLO visited the SOS Children's Village located in Cebu to spend an afternoon of fun and thanksgiving. The kids were treated to fun and games, as well as creative tote bag decorating activity. UNIQLO also extended clothing donations to the over 150 people and staff living in the Cebu village.

A fun day of play with kids at Alabang Westgate

In celebration of the UNIQLO Alabang Westgate Roadside Store's 5th Anniversary, UNIQLO invited children from Oikos Helping Hand in Las Pinas to come by the store for a morning of fun. The kids were treated to a shopping spree and a morning of games together with staff volunteers. The kids were also able to run and play around in comfort as UNIQLO provided them with Sport Utility Wear clothing to take home and use for school and other daily activities.

Bringing LifeWear to the Aeta Community in Tarlac

In partnership with non-profit organization Project PEARLS, UNIQLO visited the Aeta commune located in Sitio Manabayukan in Capas, Tarlac. The community is far flung in the flatlands of Central Luzon, and together with volunteers from our SM City Tarlac store, we gave new and pre-loved items from our RE.UNIQLO initiative, as well as food, school supplies and gifts for 250 children in the area. In addition to the in-kind donations, UNIQLO and Project Pearls also provided the kids with a day of learning through short modules that foster teamwork and creativity.`

Reaching communities through LifeWear

In celebration of our Thank You Festival, UNIQLO spearheads a nationwide clothing drive to various communities. Through the donations of pre-loved LifeWear items from our customers, we give these items new life through providing families in the communities we are in with clothing for use in their everyday life. This initiative is to show our gratitude and to give back to our customers who continue to support us and show love for LifeWear and our sustainability initiatives in-stores.

Revatilizing health centers with SM Foundation

As part of the continued partnership of UNIQLO and SM Foundation, the two organizations have come together to rehabiliate health centers across the country, providing better access to basic health care needs to communities. To date there are over 13 rehabilitated centers completed under this partnership.

Advocating proper handwashing through the Balik Eskwela Program

In partnership with SM Foundation, UNIQLO helped rehabiliate handwashing facilities and upgrade school facilities such as classroom fixtures as children headed back to face-to-face classes. Over 13 schools nationwide were able to enjoy the new facilities.
