UNIQLO Partners With BGC Canada
UNIQLO believes we can turn the power of clothing into a force for good. That’s why in 2026, UNIQLO Canada is donating $50,000 CAD to BGC Canada (Boys and Girls Club of Canada), the largest dedicated child and youth-serving organization in the country. Together, we will help create opportunities for Canadian kids and teens through life-changing programs, community-based services, and positive relationships.
Our donation will help support 160,000 young people and their families who walk through over 600 BGC local Club doors every year.
About Our Partnership
UNIQLO Canada is proud to join BGC Canada in supporting a network of over 600 Club locations nationwide,
through which 160,000 young people and their families visit every year.
Approximately 1.4 million children and youth live in poverty in Canada, with higher rates among underrepresented groups
(people with disabilities, new immigrants, LGBTQIA+, Indigenous folk).
BGC Canada ensures Club kids nationwide have resources and support they need to thrive, and address their needs in any of the following key areas, but not limited to:
• Arts and Culture;
• Family/parent and early childhood education;
• Food Security and Literacy;
• Mental Health;
• Technology and Digital Innovations.
During out of school hours in small and large cities, rural and Indigenous communities, BGC trained staff and volunteers provide program and services that help young people realize positive outcomes in self-expression, academics, healthy living, physical activity, job readiness, mental health, social development, leadership and more.
UNIQLO Canada is working locally to contribute to people, the planet, and society by collaborating with partners who share similar values. That is why UNIQLO Canada has chosen to support BGC Canada’s mission to create opportunities for Canadian kids and teens through community-based services, positive relationships, and essential programs.
In addition to our monetary donation of $50,000 we plan to activate campaigns around key moments throughout our partnership, including donating HEATTECH items to youth as part of The Heart of LifeWear initiative this past winter. As a national partner, each of our 36 UNIQLO Canada stores will be paired with a local BGC Club so UNIQLO employees can build relationships and contribute directly to local communities where we operate.
