Terms and Conditions

Those applying (hereinafter referred to as “applicants”) to UNIQLO UT x TikTok #UTPlayYourWorld Challenge (hereinafter referred to as “this campaign”) held by UNIQLO CO., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as “UNIQLO”) must read and consent to the following before applying.
By applying for this campaign, the applicant is deemed to have agreed to these terms and conditions.
If you do not agree, please cancel your application.

[Campaign Overview]

We are recruiting global influencers for UT to debut at UNIQLO stores worldwide and on official UNIQLO social media.
We will select five winners from around the world who will passionately express the feeling they get wearing their favorite UT with a TikTok video.

[Application Period]

From 12:00 AM on Tuesday, June 25, 2019
to 11:59 PM on Thursday, July 11, 2019
*From Monday, June 24, 2019 in Taiwan only.

[How to Apply]

Follow the steps below to apply.
1. Download the TikTok app
2. Follow the official UNIQLO account ID {uniqlo.tiktok}
3. Select the #UTPlayYourWorld song and take a video of yourself wearing your favorite UT, add the hashtag #UTPlayYourWorld and upload
Those who will meet the above conditions and post a video shall be deemed to have agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
*During the application period, a single applicant may apply several times.
*Those under the age of 20 need to obtain the consent of a guardian before applying.

*UT items sold at UNIQLO stores or the online shop between January and July 2019 are eligible.
*Posts set to confidential (private) will not be eligible for review.

When creating an account and posting videos, please check and follow the Terms of Service stipulated by the operating company.

[Application Requirements]

Applicants eligible for this campaign must be from one of the five eligible countries and areas: Japan, China, the US, France, and Taiwan.

[Number of Winners and Rewards]

Five grand prize winners (hereinafter referred to as “winners”) across five countries and areas will be selected.
*Eligible countries and areas: Japan, China, the US, France, and Taiwan

Winners will receive the following rewards.

・Debut in UNIQLO stores worldwide as well as official UNIQLO social media/online promotions
*We do not plan to provide any payment or compensation.

[Screening and Announcement of Results]

After the application period is over, UNIQLO will select winners through a strict screening process.

(1) Announcement of Results
The results of this campaign will be announced around late July 2019 in the form of a TikTok message (DM) from the official UNIQLO account (ID {uniqlo.tiktok} ) to winners only.

(2) Procedures After Winning
Please register using the URL sent to you in the direct message, by entering the required fields within the entry period.

*Please be aware that winners who do not complete this procedure within the designated period will be invalidated.
*If UNIQLO deems that the winner cannot receive a message through TikTok, their prize will be invalidated.
Be sure to set the “People who can message you” setting to “Anyone” or “Only Friends”.
*We will not be able to answer inquiries regarding winner results.

[Use of Submitted Videos]

While the personality rights of submitted videos belong to the applicant and those in the video, by applying to this campaign, the applicant grants rights of the submitted video to UNIQLO to repost at UNIQLO stores worldwide, on our website, on company advertisements, at events, other media and social media, media of partner companies authorized by UNIQLO, as well as the permission (including the right to sublicense to third parties commissioned by UNIQLO) to duplicate, edit, or process (including using the video in conjunction with other applicants’ work) free of charge.


The following actions are prohibited when applying for this campaign.
If UNIQLO deems that the applicant has engaged in the following acts, we may take actions such as invalidating participation in this campaign.
・Acts that violate the law or these terms and conditions
・Acts that disrupt the running of this campaign
・Acts that cause nuisance, disadvantage, damage, or discomfort to UNIQLO or others
・Acts of slander or acts that dishonor or discredit UNIQLO or others
・Acts that infringe upon or risk infringing upon the intellectual property rights, personality rights, privacy rights, honor, or other rights and interests of UNIQLO or others
・Acts involving provision of information for profit, advertising, or solicitation
・Acts that violate public order and morals
・Acts of falsified application and submission, such as registering another person’s email address
・Acts UNIQLO has judged to be out of line with the purpose of this campaign
・Acts that provide benefits to organized crime groups, etc.
・Acts UNIQLO judges to be malicious or inappropriate
・Other acts related to the acts listed above

[Handling of Personal Information]

・During this campaign, UNIQLO will obtain applicant personal information for the purpose of notifying winners, advertising our products, and as a reference for company product planning.
Personal information obtained from applicants will be handled appropriately based on our Privacy Policy.
・By applying for this campaign, applicant is deemed to have agreed to the Privacy Policy.


UNIQLO shall not be responsible for any trouble or loss incurred by applicants through the use, suspension, delay, cancellation or conclusion of this campaign, excluding cases in which UNIQLO has acted knowingly or with gross negligence.
Even in cases where UNIQLO is liable for damages, the upper limit of compensation will be the damages directly suffered by the applicant, and UNIQLO shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential damages (including loss of income).

[Changes to This Campaign/These Terms and Conditions]

・UNIQLO may change or cancel whole or a part of this campaign without prior notification to applicants.
・UNIQLO may change all or a part of these Terms and Conditions without prior notification to applicants, and may also take measures necessary to ensure the proper running of this campaign.
・Changes to the Application Terms and Conditions are effective from the moment they are displayed on the Terms and Conditions page.
*These Terms and Conditions and this campaign shall be governed by the laws of Japan.
Also, the Japanese version of these Terms and Conditions shall be considered as the original version, while all foreign language versions are created for applicant reference only.
Should inconsistencies arise between the Japanese and the foreign language versions of these Terms and Conditions, the Japanese language version shall prevail.
