Beautiful if it fits your dimensions
The pockets stick out, highlighting hips if you have them, or create them if you don't. I am an apple shape, and ordered this in both 6 and 8. The 8 fits in the waist but I can't fill out the hips, and the pockets highlight this absurdity; this skirt is definitely going back. The 6 hasn't come yet; I hope it will fit me better but imagine that the waist may be too small. I know that the waist won't be able to stretch, because it is very nicely finished on the inside with grosgrain to keep it stable. I think this skirt is beautiful. If only it fit me.

Perfection!
The fit on this skirt is perfect! I am so happy with this purchase. The only caveat I would mention is the slight kick flare of the hem makes it look uneven but I’ve decided to treat this as a intentional design feature rather than a flaw. The quality of the fabric is good as well. For info I have a 26” waist and purchased the size 2.

timeless mermaid skirt with beautiful construction
I had been eyeing this skirt since the +J collection was first announced, and luckily managed to buy it in my size on the release day! The skirt is a beautiful mermaid silhouette, with just the right amount of flare towards the bottom. Although I find some mermaid silhouette items look young or too sexy, the curvature at the bottom of this skirt is just subtle enough for a little drama while keeping the overall look very elegant and simple. The double-faced wool fabric is very luxurious and balances the unique flared design with classic elegance. I thoroughly recommend this item and think it is one of the most underrated items of the Uniqlo +J collection.
