Works like any regular sock
I got a few pairs of heat tech socks to prepare for Chicago winters. The S/M size is still huge on my size 5 feet, but that isn't such an issue because I can fold it down and adjust accordingly. However, the socks do not really provide extra warmth as the name would suggest. I have tested out the socks using different types of shoes from sneakers, to boots, and even wool insulated UGG waterproof Adirondack winter boots (not the fluffy ones). I have also attempted to layer socks. In all instances, the socks were damp by the end of the day, and my feet felt frozen. I am going to try layering the heat tech tights (which work great) with the socks and see how that will work out. That being said, I do really like their heat tech line (tights, leggings, tops, pants) and have been using them for years.

Great socks
Great socks thermal but thin enough for any shoes or boots do not slip.

Sizing is off
Just like other reviews stated, I ordered S/M size but they sent the large size for 7.5 - 10 shoe size, which is rather annoying because the quality is great but they are too big on your feet.

Sizing is off
I ordered both sizes in my original order. I decided to get more size S/M. I have been sent the wrong size three times. From my original order I know that the S/M has res stitching on the inside. The large size has gray stitching. I am sending back the gray stitching ones I received for the third time. As the above customer noted, I’m ordering S/M and receiving socks that fit shoe size 7 1/2 to 10. I’m giving up. It’s too bad. But if you have large feet, they are great socks.
