Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect winter underwear I love Heattech products. These leggings are warm and wonderfully soft and comfortable. Their undershirts are great too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works for 30 degree F weather I am usually cold and need a lot of insulation. I bought these last winter in S (5'7 135) and they fit right, slightly long compared to another brand I have. I have only worn them as base layer under jeans or dress pants and they work well in 30-40 degree F weather but any colder and you can start to feel the chill. They are soft and comfortable and don't pill easily compared to the other brand I have. Planning to stock up on a couple more this winter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best These leggings are perfect for this warm winter in NYC. They're comfortable and warm -- but not so thick that they are uncomfortable. In a word, the best. My one note is the sizing. I'm petite -- I usually wear a size 2 or 4. I usually wear an XS in the regular heattech leggings. They're comfortably snug. But for the extra warm leggings, even the XS are a bit loose.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm, soft, and grear base layer Great to wear under jeans or sweat pants on a cold day! I ordered M but I wish I ordered a small, they are pretty loose on me ( 5'6" 135) I usually wear a size 4 skinny jean so I was surprised they were big on me, still a comfortable wear underneath skinny jeans despite the looseness!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great as a baselayer I bought a pair of these to cycle in New England in the winter. They are comfortable and work well as a baselayer under the U padded joggers (so far down to in the 20's Farenheit!) I stocked up on a few more pairs in case I wear the first pair out. If you buy a pair be sure to doublecheck the sizing as written on the package - I usually wear M or S but for these I went down to XS.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cozy, slim-fitting base layer I bought a couple pairs of these recently after discovering Heattech tops last year and loving them. I'm loving them so far - very comfy, and slim-fitting enough to fit under almost anything and add a layer of warmth (a daily necessity here in Minnesota). I usually wear them under pants but would use them under a skirt when I needed something warmer than tights. It doesn't seem to me that they run as large as some other reviewers have noted. I ordered a small, which was the right size for me according to the size chart, and an XS based on reviewers' feedback. I decided to keep both; the S definitely fits but not like a pair of tights -- smooth, stays put, but with a little extra room. The XS fit me more like tights. I will note that they are quite long - but for me (prefer a 31' inseam) that's perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from warm pants! Despite being so thin they are opaque, and warm. Now for temperature, I have worn these outside numerous times by themselves. 50 degree weather is probably the coldest for optimum comfort, my legs still felt warm. 45 degrees is where its tolerable but not as warm. 40 degrees is when I can feel a light breeze on my legs. 35 degrees is when my legs feel cold. I would say throw on a second pair of pants when its below 45 degrees. I typically wear 32-34 inch waist pants, but the medium fits fine, I also have the medium long johns those are supposed to be larger but I felt they were roughly the same, in fact the leggings were not as tight. maybe that extra spandex makes a difference. I can even fit into small size but its a bit tight and stretches out and becomes sheer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is an underlayer These are meant to wear underneath your pants or skirts, not to be worn alone. Think UnderArmour. I live in NYC and the cold wind is brutal. I consider these heat tech leggings essential, especially the 'extra warm' layer. Yes, they run big, and I have not had them shrink (but I never put them in a dryer, just hang to dry). I have a pair for every day, they're great, and I've given them to all my friends who don't live near Uniqlo or don't know about heat tech!
