UNIQLO DOWN RECYCLE
Recycling old clothes into new products is our latest challenge in our ongoing effort to link people, clothing and the environment more closely together.
We have begun this challenge with our popular down collection by recycling 100% of the down padding and feathers from used products our customers bring into our stores. This will help us conserve resources, minimize waste and reduce our environmental impact, as we can use these recycled materials in the production of brand new Recycled Down outerwear, thanks to new technology we have developed in collaboration with TORAY.

UNIQLO DOWN RECYCLING Unique technology ensures quality
UNIQLO focuses on high-quality products even when they're made from recycled materials.
Using new technology developed jointly with TORAY, we have managed to efficiently create recycled down as new material.
①We collect secondhand UNIQLO down products in RE.UNIQLO boxes placed in each store.
②Down products collected in stores are delivered to TORAY factories in Japan for sorting and down and feather extraction.
③Down and feathers are separated from fabric using special wind flow technology.
④Down and feathers are extracted for reuse.
⑤Any dust is removed, and the down and feathers are cleaned, dried and reused.
⑥Recycled as new down products.
