UNIQLO Partners with the Art Institute of Chicago Alongside Michigan Avenue Flagship Opening on the Magnificent Mile

Today, UNIQLO USA announced a new partnership with the Art Institute of Chicago, one of the world’s leading cultural institutions, reflecting a shared commitment to making art, creativity, and learning accessible to all. The year‑long collaboration will launch on March 27th with the opening of UNIQLO’s Michigan Avenue flagship on Chicago’s Magnificent Mile, bringing together art, culture, and community at the heart of the city. UNIQLO will also open a new store in Oakbrook Center on May 1st.

In addition to the Art Institute partnership, UNIQLO Chicago will celebrate the people, creativity, and culture that shape the city. From a localized campaign spotlighting everyday Chicagoans to exclusive UT (UNIQLO T-shirt) offerings, the new stores will bring UNIQLO’s global LifeWear together with the unique spirit of Chicago.

Launching on March 27th with the opening of UNIQLO Michigan Avenue, the Art Institute x UNIQLO partnership features a monthly sponsorship program and exclusive product offerings highlighting the museum’s notable features and artworks.

UNIQLO Third Thursday
The Art Institute of Chicago is open until 8:00PM every Thursday, and every third Thursday is full of special activities and programming created in partnership with UNIQLO. Guests can drop by for lectures or performances in one of the museum’s auditoriums, participate in an art-making activity inspired by current exhibitions, and more.

Admission is free for Illinois Residents from 5-8pm on every UNIQLO Third Thursday.

Exclusive Merchandise
Customers at UNIQLO Michigan Avenue will be able to shop exclusive Art Institute x UNIQLO UTme! designs inspired by the museum, its iconic architecture, and vintage exhibition posters, featured on T-shirts and tote bags.

Additionally, exclusive Art Institute x UNIQLO embroidery designs, featuring the museum’s façade and famous lions, will be available through the store’s RE.UNIQLO Studio.
