This Earth Month, UNTRASH IT is back and expanding. Following a successful launch in the New York area last year, UNIQLO is bringing the program to Dallas and Los Angeles, making it even easier to keep unwanted clothing in circulation and out of landfills.

In partnership with Piece of Cake Moving & Storage and WM, UNTRASH IT offers simple ways to give pre‑worn clothing a responsible next life, whether you’re moving or staying put.

UNTRASH IT on Move Day

If you’re moving within the New York area, Dallas, or Los Angeles this April and book with Piece of Cake Moving & Storage, you’ll receive special UNTRASH IT bags for any clothing you no longer want.

On moving day, the Piece of Cake team will collect the bags along with your boxes and deliver them directly to UNIQLO’s RE.UNIQLO program, where items are sorted for donation to local organizations or responsible recycling with WM.

No extra stops. No extra effort.

Why UNTRASH IT Matters

In its first year, UNTRASH IT engaged 15% of Piece of Cake customers, collecting over two truckloads of unwanted clothing that were donated or responsibly recycled keeping textiles in circulation and out of landfills.

What is RE.UNIQLO?

RE.UNIQLO is UNIQLO’s long‑running circularity program focused on extending the life of clothing. Through RE.UNIQLO, UNIQLO collects pre‑worn UNIQLO items and carefully sorts them so they can be reused, donated, repaired, remade, or responsibly recycled.

Clothing that is still wearable is donated to partners and communities in need, while items that can no longer be worn are recycled into new materials. The goal is to keep clothing in circulation for as long as possible and reduce textile waste.

For more than 20 years, RE.UNIQLO has been a key part of UNIQLO’s commitment to taking responsibility for the full life cycle of the clothing it makes and sells, moving beyond a “wear and discard” model toward a more sustainable future.
