UNIQLO Sponsors Uniforms for Seoul 2024 Homeless World Cup Staff and Volunteers

We provided 1,000 pieces of DRY-EX T-shirts worth KRW 30 million as uniforms for over 450 staff and volunteers working at the event. UNIQLO US also sponsored Team USA through our national partner, Street Soccer USA, and provided jerseys and travel gear to the players.
The Homeless World Cup is an annual international event organized by the Homeless World Cup Foundation, established in Graz, Austria, in 2003. The event advocates ending homelessness through sport. This year, 56 teams with 448 athletes from 38 countries and regions participated.
An official from UNIQLO Korea said, "We are pleased to support this celebration of harmony and inclusion, where people in the blind spot of the right of residence play futsal as national players. UNIQLO will continue its commitment to help and support socially vulnerable groups in our society to improve their everyday life."
On September 23, we held a free shopping event for Homeless World Cup athletes from Team Korea and the Street Soccer USA team. A total of 24 athletes, including eight team Korea and 16 Street Soccer USA team members, were invited to the UNIQLO I-PARK Mall Yongsan store, where they enjoyed free shopping of up to KRW 150,000 per person for about 1.5 hours.
Street Soccer USA players from Team USA also received an additional donation of sponsored products from UNIQLO in the US. We donated “travel kits” to keep the players comfortable on their journey from the US to Korea with core UNIQLO products like AIRism, sweats, DRY-EX, and more.
