This Year UNIQLO USA is Donating Over $50,000 Worth of UNIQLO Products to Save the Children US and USA for UNHCR.

Jun 20, 2024 SUSTAINABILITY
At UNIQLO, we have always had an important mission: to improve people’s lives through our clothes.

As part of this pursuit, we launched our global charity T-shirt program in June 2022, featuring designs by major figures in different fields in sports, fashion, photography, and other fields. Through the sales of these T-shirts, all profits (no less than 20% of the selling price) are donated equally among UNHCR, Save the Children Japan, and Plan International Inc. to support their global projects. As of April 2024, we have sold over 4 million T-shirts.

To continue these efforts, UNIQLO USA also works with USA for UNHCR and Save the Children US to benefit their programs since 2022.

This year, we donated over $50,000 worth of UNIQLO products to these local organizations to support families and children. The donation to Save the Children US included brand-new UNIQLO socks, underwear, shirts, bottoms, and AIRism products—helping to keep families cool and comfortable this summer. The donation to USA for UNHCR included reusable cotton bags that will help displaced people in their journeys to safety and security.

About Save the Children US’ Programs

Save The Children US Border Response
Border Response: Save the Children has provided humanitarian assistance to children and families seeking asylum at the U.S. southern border since 2014. Save the Children has prioritized programming for families traveling with children, with a special focus on the youngest children, pregnant women, new mothers, and children with disabilities. In 2023, they supported more than 1,000,000 people, including more than 280,000, children through the provision of immediate humanitarian needs, such as food, water, clothing, and safe shelter.

Maker Summer Fair: For many kids living in poverty in rural America, summer isn’t fair. Summer break can mean no school breakfasts and lunches. Being out of school can mean having no friends nearby to play with. And it can mean falling behind in math and reading skills. Through our partnership with Save the Children, we are providing clothing donations to support children in rural America during this summer and through their back-to-school period.
