    NEWS

UNIQLO and the Los Angeles Dodgers hosted a series of community impact programs at UNIQLO Field at Dodger Stadium from August 20 to 23. The initiatives included the educational program UNIQLO Field at Dodger Stadium Academy, the international program UNIQLO × Dodgers Baseball Exchange, the community support initiative The Heart of LifeWear with The Dodgers, and UNIQLO LifeWear Day at Dodger Stadium, the partnership's signature fan event, which returned following its inaugural edition in June.

Through the power of sports and UNIQLO's LifeWear philosophy, UNIQLO and the Dodgers aim to enrich people's lives, support the next generation, and make a meaningful contribution to local communities.

Next-Generation Development Program: UNIQLO Field at Dodger Stadium Academy

On August 20, UNIQLO and the Los Angeles Dodgers hosted the inaugural UNIQLO Field at Dodger Stadium Academy in cooperation with the World Children's Baseball Foundation (WCBF), chaired by Sadaharu Oh. The program welcomed 42 middle school students, including 12 selected participants from Japan and 30 students from the Los Angeles area.

Through behind-the-scenes tours of Dodger Stadium and visits to the team's trophy halls, students learned about the history of baseball and the Dodgers while gaining insight into the sports industry and sustainability.

Participants also explored the legacy of Jackie Robinson and the impact he had beyond the game of baseball. In addition, they learned about the wide range of careers that support a Major League Baseball organization, including field operations, media, and marketing, encouraging them to reflect on their own futures and the roles they can play in society. The Academy is the first of many programs planned at UNIQLO Field at Dodger Stadium. Over the next five years, UNIQLO and the Dodgers aim to engage and support more than 10,000 middle school students across the Los Angeles area.

International Exchange Program: UNIQLO × Dodgers Baseball Exchange

On August 21, UNIQLO and the Dodgers brought together 30 young baseball players from Japan and the Los Angeles area for a unique international exchange centered on a shared passion for baseball.
Hosted at UNIQLO Field at Dodger Stadium, the program provided participants with on-field instruction and guidance from Dodgers legend Orel Hershiser, former Major League pitcher Hisanori Takahashi, and members of the Dodgers coaching staff.

The program also featured a special Q&A session with Dodgers pitcher Jack Dreyer and catcher Dalton Rushing, during which participants learned about the mindset required to succeed as professional athletes and the importance of perseverance, dedication, and pursuing long-term goals. By connecting across cultures and languages, the young players built friendships, deepened their understanding of the game, and experienced firsthand how baseball can bring people together across borders.

Community Support Initiative: The Heart of LifeWear with The Dodgers

On Friday, August 21, UNIQLO and the Los Angeles Dodgers hosted a special “The Heart of LifeWear” event at Dodger Stadium. “The Heart of LifeWear” is an initiative to donate one million HEATTECH and AIRism items to people in need around the world. The event welcomed high school students from the Sports Industry Academy at John Muir High School, located in an area affected by the 2025 California wildfires. The exclusive game-day program included a UNIQLO × Dodgers clothing gift package and The Heart of LifeWear activity, followed by a special behind-the-scenes experience. Students met Dodgers manager Dave Roberts, watched batting practice up close, and attended the evening game against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Through this event, UNIQLO and the Dodgers created a meaningful moment of bringing comfort, connection, and optimism for the local community while reinforcing their shared commitment to supporting communities across Los Angeles. This event marked the first phase of a broader “The Heart of LifeWear” commitment, through which UNIQLO and the Los Angeles Dodgers will work together to distribute essential clothing items to communities in need.

A Special Day Connecting the Community and Fans: UNIQLO LifeWear Day at Dodger Stadium

On August 23, UNIQLO and the Dodgers celebrated the return of UNIQLO LifeWear Day at Dodger Stadium, following its inaugural event in June. Academy Award-winning actor Ke Huy Quan, who also participates in UNIQLO's PEACE FOR ALL initiative, took part in the ceremonial first pitch and helped energize fans throughout the stadium. UNIQLO also distributed limited-edition Dodgers-themed sunglasses to the first 40,000 fans entering the stadium, creating a fun and memorable game-day experience for fans of all ages. Throughout the venue, fans visited UNIQLO activation booths featuring life-size displays of Dodgers manager Dave Roberts, where families and friends could take commemorative photos together. The day provided a unique opportunity to connect with fans through both the power of sports and the power of LifeWear.
