Jeans, in a color you've never seen before.
When dyeing our denim, we pursued a modern, processed look that's different from vintage. Our colors won't migrate or fade in the wash, and there is a much wider range of colors to choose from; in rich hues you've never seen before.

Comfort and fit designed just right.
SOBIN runs a café in Seoul while working as a model. Looking for comfortable jeans in soothing pastels, she found UNIQLO’s wide jeans. She shares, "The silhouette is not too broad, the look is light and clean, and they're comfortable and feel good." She found a beige color that was exactly like the wall color of her café, and bought it immediately.

The goal of these wide straight jeans was to combine an authentic look and comfort. To create a texture that can only be achieved with weight and firmness, while maintaining a fabric that is easy to wear, it was necessary to delve into the intricacies of denim fabric, which is the lifeblood of jeans. UNIQLO took on the challenge of creating an unprecedented denim fabric. Our partner, Kaihara, supported that challenge. The fabric was created using a technique that dyes only the surface of the yarn a deep indigo color while leaving the core white, resulting in an authentic appearance that we sought after, even in the way the color fades. Furthermore, by thoroughly examining the density of the warp and weft yarns, we have created a piece that is both moderately soft and smooth to wear.
