Product Stories

We're serious about softness.

We're particular about not only the leather's production area, but also its quality and molding process. We use only high-quality leather which has high fiber density. Additionally, among the three leather-forming processes, beating, kneading, and drum rotating, the beating process after dyeing is doubled, making the leather itself even softer.

The perfect belt and buckle combination.

The perfect balance between the belt and buckle is important because of the simple design that makes the most of premium materials. By changing the rounded end of the belt into the same square shape as the buckle, it makes the line around your waist look nicer. In addition, we've enhanced the luxurious, neat look by coating the buckle with a matte coating to match the belt's color. The belt passes through the buckle smoothly because we've given a meticulous finish to the leather edges.

Using genuine leather from a long-established Italian shop.

Florence, Italy is known for producing high-quality leather. The genuine leather for UNIQLO's Italian leather belts is produced by Volpi Concerie, a long-established company that has been in business for over 70 years and uses products sourced from European countries. The vegetable tanning process uses plant extracts from around the world, as well as natural ingredients such as quebracho and mimosa. By processing it over many days, we’re able to create a piece that is durable and doesn’t lose its quality over time. As told by one of the company's craftsmen, "We engage in manufacturing with the same passion for quality and production control as the work itself."
