HEATTECH is made of four types of fibers.
HEATTECH is multifunctional, offering moisture absorption, heat retention, and antibacterial and deodorizing*1 properties, thanks to four types of fiber*2 with distinct roles. Each fiber plays an important role and provides comfort when worn. The rayon fibers generate heat when they absorb moisture; the acrylic fibers contain a lot of air and retain heat; the polyester fibers quickly absorb moisture and dry; and the polyurethane fibers have excellent stretch properties. By knitting these together, we have created a highly functional innerwear. But it's not just about functionality; there's also the question of how to create a beautiful surface feel despite using multiple materials, and which combination of materials responds to all kinds of cold weather. Countless trials and errors are hidden behind this one piece of fabric.

Natural materials for a renewed HEATTECH.
Combining cutting-edge textile technology with the warmth of natural fibers. UNIQLO : C HEATTECH yarns are made from a blend of fibers that include cashmere* and are approximately half as thin as those used in cashmere sweaters, giving you the warmth of standard Extra Warm HEATTECH with approximately 70% of the weight. Furthermore, we also deliver the gentle comfort that only cashmere can provide.

Combining natural fibers with cutting-edge technology.
Blending delicate cashmere* with HEATTECH meant spending time to find the ideal raw wool. We used AI to verify the uniformity of the resulting fabric and a specially designed dyeing machine to minimize the load on the fabric.

Children's comfort is our blueprint.
Our HEATTECH thermal base layers for children are made of cotton for a gentle feel. We also choose threads that are comfortable against the skin for the stitching. We use stretch fibers to allow children to move freely, and we have also increased the durability of the collar area.
