The body and armholes have been designed to prevent the fabric from bulging when the jacket is worn, and the breast pocket is big enough to hold an ID card or passport considering the balance when the jacket is worn. The buttons are staggered, and stitched only on one side, making it easy to open and close even with one hand.

Cotton fibers are made by untangling cotton flowers. In particular, "ultra-long cotton," with fiber lengths of 35 mm or more, is high-quality cotton with limited production worldwide. The fiber has a smooth feel and pleasing luster. At UNIQLO's factory, impurities are carefully removed from the block-shaped bales of extra-long staple cotton that arrive from producing areas. The fibers are twisted many times while gradually aligning their direction and spun into beautiful yarn.

Making Super Non-Iron Shirts starts with sewing a tape-like resin into the seams to prevent wrinkles after washing. After all the parts are sewn, an important process called "DIP processing" is carried out, which involves spraying the entire shirt with a special substance that aids in resisting wrinkles. The shirt then undergoes a high-pressure press to enhance form stability, a "baking" process to ensure full adherence of the properties, and it is ironed by hand by skilled professionals for the final finishing.
