I'm usually an XS with Uniqlo clothing but had to size up for this to S so the sleeves ended being a bit longer but at least I'm not being choked by the turtleneck portion. It's thick enough that it's not see-through but thin enough to see the outline of any camisole you wear underneath as it is also quite stretchy and figure-hugging so I would really only use it for layering since it's not relatively warm enough either just by itself.

Unfortunately despite the fact that I always choose small when I buy from Uniqlo this one was too small so I think the sizing is wrong. I'd recommend going up a size with this jumper
