A handy guide to lockdown living.
With the majority of us currently being confined to our homes, it’s the perfect time to slow down and take a breather or maybe get around to ticking off a few things we never really get the time to do. We’ve put together a few ideas to get you going.

Whether you’re learning a new viral dance routine or pounding the pavements for a charity 5K, staying active is a great way to keep your spirits up and help you sleep better at night. Challenge friends and family members as well to make it all the more enjoyable.

Using your time to be productive can elevate your mood and energy levels and make you feel like you’ve accomplished something with your day. There’s also plenty of online courses that are just a mouse click away. Taking time out to read a book or learn something new can help kickstart habits and hobbies to continue after this period is over.

Catch up with family and friends via phone or video call, organise quizzes with your pals or take it back to basics and send someone a lovely letter or postcard to brighten their day. Getting a group together to catch up, chat and just see some friendly faces is a great way to pass a couple of hours.

Grab your apron and fire up the grill, as there’s plenty of time to hone your cookery skills during lockdown. Make up your own recipes or put a twist on some of your favourite restaurant dishes using whatever you’ve got in stock.

Decluttering and organising your wardrobe helps clear out some space and can reintroduce you to some old favourites you haven’t worn for a while. Plus, the warmer weather means you can pack up your winter wear and prep your best summer outfits for when you head back to work.

Make the most of everyone being at home by spending time with the family. Bond over board games, learn a new hobby together or plan a movie night.

As amazing as it is that people are using this time to write a book, learn a new language or overhaul their home, it’s also just as important to find time to relax and unwind – remember, moderation is key. So, enjoy the movie, have a lazy lie in and above all, do what makes you happy.

We hope you’re all staying safe and healthy.
