Cool Breeze
10 to 15C°
Good Choice
Cooler days call for thoughtful layering that blends comfort with style. HEATTECH innerwear helps retain warmth without adding bulk, while a cardigan or fleece jacket offers soft texture and easy movement.
Cold
5 to 10C°
Good Choice
In destinations where it is warm in the sun during the day, but cold in the shade or at night, we recommend a combination of HEATTECH as a base layer and a packable PUFFTECH jacket as an outer layer. Wear a thicker button down shirt or light knit over your HEATTECH and you'll be good to go.
Very Cold
0 to 5C°
Good Choice
When traveling to a destination where outerwear is essential, even during the day, combine a HEATTECH Extra Warm base layer with a Down jacket. Thin yet warm and soft, the Cashmere Blend is made with 9% cashmere for a smooth texture. Its ideal sheerness makes it perfect for versatile layering and styling.
Freezing
-5 to 0C°
Good Choice
We recommend a combination of HEATTECH Ultra Warm and Seamless Down in freezing cold destinations. A Fleece or similar type of middle layer will help keep you warm. Adding a scarf or a beanie is also a good idea.

Travel Tips
Explore helpful tips and answers to common winter travel questions, designed to help you stay warm, comfortable, and prepared for every journey.
Check three things before choosing your clothes: the city, travel dates, and the lowest and highest temperatures. Different cities in the same country may have very different weather.
A three-layer outfit is the easiest to adjust:
1. An inner layer helps retain warmth.
2. Fleece or Knit works as the middle layer.
3. An outer layer helps protect against wind and rain.
Recommended products: Choose HEATTECH, HEATTECH Extra Warm, or HEATTECH Ultra Warm based on the cold, then pair it with Fleece/Knit and PUFFTECH, Seamless Down, or a Hybrid Down Parka according to the weather. Check the forecast again before packing.
In 10–15°C weather, it is usually comfortably cool, but mornings and evenings may feel colder. Choose clothes that are easy to add or remove.
Recommended products: Start with regular HEATTECH and pair it with Fleece or Knit. If you will be outdoors for a long time, carry PUFFTECH as an extra layer. If you feel cold easily, choose HEATTECH Extra Warm instead.
For 0–10°C weather, three layers are recommended. You do not need to wear so many items that the outfit feels tight.
Recommended products:
1. HEATTECH Extra Warm as the inner layer
2. Fleece or Knit as the middle layer
3. PUFFTECH or Seamless Down as the outer layer
Some PUFFTECH styles have a water-repellent finish that helps with light rain. For stronger wind or heavier rain, consider a Hybrid Down Parka.
Below 0°C, protect your torso, head, hands, and feet because exposed areas can make you feel cold quickly.
Recommended products: Wear HEATTECH Ultra Warm as the inner layer, add Fleece or Knit, and choose a down jacket or another outer layer suitable for severe cold. Add HEATTECH Leggings, socks, a hat, gloves, and a scarf. Check the wind, rain, and snow conditions before choosing your outer layer.
Layering means wearing several layers so you can increase or reduce warmth as the weather changes.
A simple order is:
1. Inner layer: HEATTECH suited to the level of cold
2. Middle layer: Fleece or Knit to help retain warmth
3. Outer layer: PUFFTECH, Seamless Down, or a Hybrid Down Parka according to wind and rain
Choose a size that allows comfortable movement, is not too tight, and lets you add or remove one layer at a time.
Yes. Although the fabric is thin, HEATTECH is designed to fit close to the skin and work as the inner layer in a layered outfit. Warmth does not depend on fabric thickness alone; it also depends on the HEATTECH type, temperature, wind, activity, and individual sensitivity to cold.
Recommended products: Choose regular HEATTECH for generally cool weather, Extra Warm or Extra Warm Cashmere Blend for more warmth, and Ultra Warm for colder conditions. Pair it with Fleece/Knit and a suitable outer layer.
Choose according to the temperature and how sensitive you are to cold:
• Regular HEATTECH: approximately 5–20°C
• HEATTECH Extra Warm or Extra Warm Cashmere Blend: approximately -5–15°C
• HEATTECH Ultra Warm: approximately -20–10°C
These temperature ranges are guidelines when the item is worn with other clothing. If you will walk a lot or frequently move between indoor and outdoor spaces, choose layers that are easy to remove. You do not always need the warmest option.
Each product type has a different role:
• Fleece and Knit: Middle layers that add warmth and are easy to remove
• PUFFTECH: Lightweight and easy to move in; some styles have a water-repellent finish for light rain
• Seamless Down: Seamless design helps keep out wind and cold air.
• Hybrid Down Parka: Suitable when you need more protection from wind and rain, depending on the specific style
Check each product label because wind resistance, water protection, and care instructions vary by style.
The quantity depends on the length of your trip, whether you can do laundry, and which items can be reworn.
Packing guide: Bring regular or Extra Warm HEATTECH according to your changing schedule, 1–2 Fleece or Knit pieces to alternate, and one PUFFTECH or Down item as your main outer layer. Add a Hybrid Down Parka if wind or rain is expected. Choose easy-to-match colors and pack one spare inner layer.
Thermal innerwear should fit close to the body without feeling tight, wrinkling, or restricting your arms and movement.
Recommended products: Choose a crew-neck, turtleneck, or another HEATTECH neckline that stays hidden under your outfit, depending on your preferred look. Choose HEATTECH Leggings for the lower body. Measure your bust, waist, or hips and check the size chart for each product. If you plan to layer, move around while trying it on before deciding.
Choose thin, lightweight pieces that work with several outfits. This helps you stay warm without looking bulky.
Recommended products: Use HEATTECH Extra Warm Cashmere Blend as the inner layer, add a lightweight Fleece or Knit, and choose packable PUFFTECH or Down. Use two or three neutral colors, such as black, gray, navy, or cream, to create several different looks.
No. Water-repellent means water droplets are less likely to soak into the fabric and is suitable for light rain. It does not mean waterproof protection for heavy rain or continuous exposure to water. Wind protection is a separate feature.
Recommended products: Some PUFFTECH styles have a water-repellent finish and also provide warmth. For stronger wind or heavier rain, consider a Hybrid Down Parka according to the product details. Read the label and check the weather before use.
Always read the care label before washing because different materials require different care.
Simple guidelines:
• HEATTECH and Fleece: Wash according to the label and avoid methods that may damage the fibers.
• PUFFTECH and down: Follow the washing and drying instructions for the specific style.
• BLOCKTECH: Avoid care methods that may damage the fabric coating.
PUFFTECH's water-repellent finish is not permanent. Store every item only after it is completely dry.
A basic checklist should include:
• HEATTECH innerwear suited to the level of cold
• HEATTECH Leggings
• Fleece or Knit
• PUFFTECH or Down
• A Hybrid Down Parka if wind or rain is expected
• Socks, a hat, gloves, and a scarf
Before closing your suitcase, plan one outfit for each day and choose items that can be mixed and matched to reduce the number and weight of clothes you pack.
Yes. Although HEATTECH Extra Warm Cashmere Blend is thin and lightweight, it is approximately 1.5 times warmer than regular HEATTECH, based on CLO values used to measure clothing insulation. The cashmere-blend fabric also feels soft and can be worn as an inner layer without making the outfit look bulky.
Recommended products: Wear one Extra Warm Cashmere Blend layer, then add Fleece or Knit and choose PUFFTECH, Seamless Down, or a Hybrid Down Parka according to the weather. This is preferable to wearing two Extra Warm layers, and there is no verified information that doubling the layers makes it twice as warm.
Mountain and highland areas in Thailand can feel very cold in the morning and at night, while daytime may become warmer. Choose clothes that are easy to add or remove, and check the local forecast before traveling.
Recommended products: For mildly cool weather, wear regular HEATTECH with Fleece or Knit. For sunrise trips or overnight stays in the mountains, consider HEATTECH Extra Warm with PUFFTECH. Some PUFFTECH styles have a water-repellent finish that helps with light rain. For stronger wind or heavier rain, choose a Hybrid Down Parka and carry a hat, socks, or a scarf for mornings and evenings.
