This helps keep the umbrella from collapsing or blowing away in the wind. The frame is a lightweight aluminum alloy that's stiff and difficult to bend out of shape. For greater stability, there are eight ribs instead of the usual six. This folding umbrella designed to be lightweight and durable is easy both to carry and to use.
