The UNIQLO Coal Drops Yard store was opened in Coal Drops Yard, a large-scale redevelopment area near King’s Cross St Pancras, which is a major subway station in central London.

Coal Drops Yard was built in the 1850s, and was originally used as a warehouse to store and distribute coal brought to London from the north of England. The store, located in a redeveloped commercial complex in this historic industrial district, retains the charm of a Victorian-era coal warehouse with its brick walls and thick wooden beams. A large terrace on the second floor offers a space for office workers and students in the neighborhood to relax on benches, or even play a round of table tennis.

The Coal Drops Yard store also features a mobile RE.UNIQLO STUDIO – a first for UNIQLO – which will be rolled out to provide on-site repair and remake services at nearby events and universities.

In addition, murals by British artist Pref, famous for his typographic design style, decorate the walls of the store, making for a unique shopping experience worthy of this historic building.
