The film “Chainsaw Man-The Movie: Reze Arc”
The original work is the manga "Chainsaw Man," which has surpassed 30 million copies in total circulation and is currently being serialized in "Shonen Jump+" (Shueisha). The author is the genius manga artist Tatsuki Fujimoto, who is also fresh in memory for the theatrical anime "Look Back," which was a huge hit in 2024 and won the "Best Animation Award" at the 48th Japan Academy Awards. In 2022, a TV anime by animation studio MAPPA ("Jujutsu Kaisen," "Attack on Titan: The Final Season," etc.) was broadcast and received high acclaim not only domestically but worldwide. It has been distributed in over 200 countries and regions to date. The beloved "Reze Arc," a fan-favorite episode from the series, is now being adapted into a film. The story follows protagonist Denji as he becomes entangled with Reze, a girl he meets by chance, and rushes toward an unpredictable destiny, depicted alongside scaled-up, thrilling battle action. The theme song features Kenshi Yonezu once again, following the globally hit TV anime opening theme "KICK BACK." His new composition ‘IRIS OUT,’ written exclusively for the film, brings fresh energy to the Reze Arc world."
