Supima® Cotton, known for its fiber length exceeding 35mm, is an exceptionally rare and durable cotton that represents less than 1% of global cotton production. To maximize the quality of this material, we employ a specialized spinning method that minimizes impurities. While this process is more time-consuming than conventional methods, it results in an exceptionally soft and smooth texture.
Supima-powered colors.
Supima® Cotton is also appealing for its sheen and elegant colors. Since the long fibers produce little fuzz of their own, the material expresses neutral colors without looking drab. The new Uniqlo U Supima cotton crew neck T-shirt takes advantage of this by featuring a subtle color palette of tones like rose ash and citrus yellow inspired by plant dyes. In addition, we've made the standard black darker and more lustrous.
