UNIQLO Malaysia Receives Caring Employer Award

We are honoured to be presented with the Anugerah Majikan Prihatin (Swasta) (Caring Employer Award – Private Sector) for providing opportunities to people with disabilities through employment. The award was conferred by the Department of Social Welfare under the Ministry of Women, Family & Community Development in conjunction with the International Day of Disabled Persons which is celebrated every 3rd December. This award aims to celebrate employers who have have more than 1% of people with disabilities in their total workforce. The award also encourages employers to provide even more career opportunities in the future. UNIQLO Malaysia has been employing people with disabilities since 2013, with 30 employees currently working in both our stores and office. We will continue efforts to develop their potential for a brighter future in the company while offering more disabled persons the opportunity to contribute.
