The shirt you wear every day should be special. The 100% cotton pinpoint Oxford fabric that uses rare, ultra-long cotton, has a sheen and smooth texture, making it ideal for business wear. While maintaining the original texture of a natural material, applying a super non-iron finish makes it hard to wrinkle after washing and retains the beautiful look.

Uniqlo adopted special wrinkle-resistant processing to prevent wrinkles from forming. It consists of a wide range of processes that start with a seam tape sewn on the seam, followed by the processing of each part. Then the product is placed inside a drum-shaped machine with a chemical agent, where a high-temperature, high-pressure press is performed using a special mold. The process is completed with a treatment called baking. The entire shirt is then coated with resin and an even, beautiful shape is maintained.

From the manufacturing of the fabric to the sewing for finish, we conduct production under strict control. Temperature control requires particular attention. If not done properly, it can lead to yellowing. We perform wrinkle-resistant processing with delicate control.
When comfort is everything, nothing less than “100% cotton” will do.
Even if the product is highly functional, you won’t wear it every day if it’s uncomfortable. That’s why we have adopted the 100% cotton pinpoint Oxford fabric for our Super Non Iron Shirt. Because a very long, fine count two-ply yarn is used, the surface of the fabric is flat and elegant. It’s a shirt you can wear not only for business, but also for formal occasions such as parties.

Collar
The collar gives an impression for the entire shirt.
Men’s formal wear has numerous details including the shape of the collar, the width of the cuffs and the presence or absence of a placket. We updated the design of our Super Non Iron Shirt this season to cater to a wide range of needs. We offer three distinct types that match the shapes of the collar, with details suitable for each. We also paid careful attention to hidden details, such as the width and number of stitching suitable for formal occasions, as well as buttons sewn for easy opening and closing.
We even considered how it looks with a tie.
Men’s dress shirts have different collar shapes for different uses: regular, button-down and semi-wide. In the past, we used the same body for all three types of collars. This season, we have reinterpreted the shape and form of the placket to match the collar. We have also changed the neckband to have a firm interlining for a crisp look when worn with a tie. The tip of the wing collar has been made slightly longer to create a striking S-curve.
Which cuff?
It deeply affects the look and movement.
Just like the body, we changed the shape of the cuffs depending on the setting where the shirt is worn. Variations such as the round type with rounded corners, and the square type that firmly fits the wrist, can give a more formal impression. The armholes were designed with attention to detail by considering the arm’s range of motion and calculating the angle of the curve.
Front and back.
Different patterns make the difference in comfort.
There is a secret to Uniqlo’s shirt patterns. It’s the difference in the widths between the front and back panels. The front panel was designed to be slightly compact, while giving enough room to have a clean look when worn inside a jacket. On the other hand, the back panel where the shoulders and arms move often, was designed with ample space for ease of movement. We came up with these fine details to enhance comfort, which you can only see by comparing them.
