We love your image, movie/video and/or its caption (“Post”) and know others will benefit from seeing it on our website and social media channels. As you consider allowing us to publish your Post, we want to make sure you know exactly how we intend to use it. By replying to our Instagram, X, TikTok, Threads or other social media comment with “#yesuniqlo” or approving over direct message (DM) to our usage request and providing your permission, you represent and warrant that you own the Post and there are no other party or entity with ownership claims over it and you have the authority to consent to this agreement. You warrant that you are of legal age. If the owner of the Post is a minor, the consenting individual warrants that the individual is person with legal custody or guardianship of the minor with legal authority to consent to this agreement on behalf of the minor. If the Post contains another person (including an image of a minor), you hereby state that you have obtained the consent of the respective person (or the parent or guardian of any minor). You grant UNIQLO CO., LTD. (“UNIQLO”) and our affiliates a non-exclusive and non-revocable commercial right to use and reproduce the Post on UNIQLO and our affiliates’ social media (including, but not limited to, Instagram, X, TikTok or Threads) accounts and social media advertisement, throughout the world for one (1) year from the date of your consent. You grant us the right to your Post, including any images or likenesses of you contained therein, and expressly grant us the right to use your portrait and publicity rights for commercial and promotional purposes. You agree that UNIQLO and our affiliates may alter your Post and make derivative works. While UNIQLO will make commercially reasonable efforts to give you credit for your Post and provide a link back to your account, you agree that such credit is not mandatory and your permission for us to use your Post is not contingent upon such credit being given. You waive any right (including any moral rights that may subsist) to inspect and/or approve the finished work incorporating the Post that may be used in connection therewith or the use of which said finished work may be applied. Further, you waive any claims to compensation or royalties with regards to our use of your Post or our finished work. In the event that your Post contains personal information, UNIQLO will handle personal information in accordance with UNIQLO’s privacy policy.

We understand that the handling of your personal information may be subject to applicable laws and regulations in the jurisdictions listed in the Appendix. In such cases, you agree that your personal information will be handled in accordance with the applicable Privacy Policy of our affiliates operating in the jurisdictions listed therein, which shall also apply to UNIQLO for the purpose of this agreement. Your personal information may be transferred to servers located outside Japan or to our affiliates or other trusted third parties based in other countries so that they may process personal information on UNIQLO’s behalf. By agreeing to UNIQLO’s use of your Post, you agree to such collection, use, disclosure, transfer and processing of your information in accordance with the terms of this Image Use Agreement, UNIQLO’s privacy policy and applicable data protection laws and regulations. Last, you agree that if any provision, or any portion of any provision, contained herein is determined to be invalid under any statute or rule of law, then it shall, to that extent alone, be deemed omitted, and the remainder of this Image Use Agreement shall remain in full force and effect. This Image Use Agreement shall be governed by the laws of Japan. If you don’t agree to these terms, we completely understand and no further action is required. We are thrilled to see UNIQLO as a part of your page and look forward to seeing any new content you post as well.

Privacy Statement for EU Residents Your personal data (which consists of voice and/or image, depending on whether you are photographed of videotaped) will be used as described in this Image Use Agreement, and for the purpose of marketing communication. This personal data processing is based on your consent. Your personal data will be deleted 1 year after the collection of your consent. Your personal information may be transferred to servers located outside Japan or to our affiliates or other trusted third parties based in other countries so that they may process personal information on UNIQLO’s behalf. For transfers of personal data to countries that benefit from an adequacy decision issued by the European Commission, we rely on that decision. When transferring data to third parties located in countries that do not benefit from an adequacy decision, we ensure that these parties implement appropriate organizational, technical, and security measures. In addition, we require them to enter into contracts based on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, in accordance with Article 46(2) of the GDPR. Under the GDPR, you have the right (i) to be informed about the collection and use of your personal data, (ii) to get your personal data rectified or completed, (iii) to request the restriction of your personal data, (iv) to obtain a copy of your personal data and reuse it across different services, (v) to withdraw your consent and (vi) to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of data concerning you violates data protection regulations.
