Concept

Welcome to The Art and Science of LifeWear - Creating a new Standard in Knitwear, a first-time exhibition that focuses purely on UNIQLO top-quality knitwear essentials.

We launched cashmere knitwear in 2003, and since then our offering has evolved to also include merino and lambs wool pieces, all worn and loved the world over.

Last year, UNIQLO Paris R&D Center Artistic Director Christophe Lemaire and Shima Seiki, a leader in advanced knitting machines, launched a craft and technology collaboration to innovate knitwear. Together they achieved a refined design and a premium in comfort, thanks to breakthrough WHOLEGARMENT technology and programming that knits an entire item without seams.

Our exhibition will appeal to French aesthetics through apparel that is the pride of UNIQLO. It will allow you to experience and understand LifeWear through a celebration of art, comfort, color, craftsmanship and Japanese WHOLEGARMENT technology.

We hope you will enjoy it.

  • COLLABORATION

LifeWear Through the Lens of Paris

Bonjour Paris! UNIQLO cashmere has been a favorite among Parisians because of its top-quality fabrics and simple, yet sophisticated designs. For this event only we present a special new collaboration with three notable Paris names. We bring together the fun and wit of Maison Labiche and Keur Paris, and the artistic expression of Andrea Crews.

  • FASHION

    Perfect Styling

While simple, UNIQLO knitwear is comfortable, with designs and attention to detail that ensure that each item looks fabulous on wearers. Because of the sophisticated designs, people can coordinate various colors and enjoy layering for individual looks that have made LifeWear so beloved among countless millions.

Knitwear is available in different materials, designs and colors, including Uniqlo U knits from Christophe Lemaire’s Paris R&D team. This winter you are certain to find styles that match your mood.

  • CRAFTSMANSHIP

    Excellent Quality and Value

UNIQLO knitwear is carefully fashioned by skilled craftspeople. Uniformly high standards are applied to each stage of the manufacturing process, from the sourcing of raw materials to spinning, dyeing, knitting, washing, and inspection. While traditional craftsmanship is required, we have also adopted the latest automation and methodologies in mass production to ensure we can consistently deliver large quantities of high-quality items.

This video presents the interior of a factory in China that embodies the LifeWear philosophy of supplying the best knitwear to people everywhere.
