Hokusai Fujiyama

In the early 1830s, Katsushika Hokusai revolutionised the world of Japanaese woodblock printmaking with a series of full-size colour landscape prints on one theme: Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji. Bestsellers in their own time, these prints became famous around the world just a few decades later, and had a strong influence on European art in the late 19th century.
