The Heart of LifeWear Vol.10: UNIQLO donates over 1 million items of clothing in 28 global regions

May 20, 2025 UNIQLO Today
UNIQLO has now donated over one million items of HEATTECH and other new clothing items in 28 countries and regions. The donations were made as part of The Heart of LifeWear initiative, which was launched in winter 2024 to mark the brand’s 40th anniversary, aiming to help make life better for vulnerable people around the world.

Over half a million items donated to people living in refugee camps in Jordan
In February 2025, UNIQLO delivered 530,000 items of HEATTECH thermal clothing to people in Jordan at the request of UNHCR (the UN refugee agency), with which Fast Retailing (UNIQLO's parent company) has a global partnership. Some 70,000 people live in the Za’atari refugee camp, the largest in the Middle East and one of the largest in the world. There are about 560,000 Syrian refugees currently still living in Jordan.

Another half a million items donated to people in need across 28 regions
In addition, in 28 other global regions, UNIQLO donated approximately 470,000 items to help people in urgent need of clothing; including disaster victims, individuals experiencing homelessness or poverty, and disadvantaged children. UNIQLO worked with local support groups to understand what was needed, with UNIQLO managers and employees around the world participating in the donation activities.

The Heart of LifeWear initiative has been supported by UNIQLO LifeWear Special Ambassador Haruka Ayase, along with UNIQLO Global Brand Ambassadors Roger Federer, Kei Nishikori, Shingo Kunieda, Gordon Reid and Ayumu Hirano, as well as the Toray Group, one of the world's leading materials manufacturers and the development partner for HEATTECH. At donation events for the initiative, UNIQLO’s Ambassadors handed out HEATTECH thermals directly to recipients and exchanged greetings, while also participating in sports clinics, talks, and other activities to bring joy and hope.
