A new collection inspired by French chic and the landscapes of Marrakech
Style icon and art director Ines de la Fressange is back with the latest installment of her collaboration with UNIQLO. Inspired by memories of Marrakech, the Spring/Summer 2022 collection brings us on a new journey through Palmeraies, souks, and rose fields. Discover the highlights of this wardrobe of perfect summer essentials, infused with de la Fressange's innate aesthetic.
For this new collection, Ines expressed her intent to revisit essential items and to add a sense of novelty. She explained: "It is important for us to propose something new, a subtle twist. A shirt with a single box pleat at the back for comfort puts you in a good mood." In the outfits below, you can discover two classics with a twist. The frills on the shirt’s collar and cuffs go a long way to bring lightness to the design. The vibrant pink, along with the elegance of the pure silk fabric, turn this blouse into a chic modern essential.

Adorned with delicate stripes and checks, the Spring/Summer 2022 designs become subtle style statements. On the light cotton dress below, fine stripes add a chic and sophisticated contrast to the voluminous silhouette. As for the cotton coverall, a season must-have, the flower pattern was inspired by a rose field a short drive away from Marrakech. Ines recalled: "This landscape was the inspiration for the floral motif. I can't wait to throw on one of the jackets in this print over a T-shirt, V neck jumper, and a pair of jeans.”

Synonymous with French chic, Ines de la Fressange brought her signature style to a collection that marks her 17th season with UNIQLO. Since 2014, Ines has achieved her aim through this collaboration of "bringing the effortless style of France to the world". This effortless but elegant aesthetic is expressed through the stand collar and natural fabric of the shirt below. In the second outfit, the trouser’s wide cut and its linen cotton blend fabric, paired with a knitted polo, create a beautiful balance between chic and casual style.
