Fleece made from 100% recycled polyester.
UNIQLO's fleece fabric is made from 100% recycled polyester yarn. The long beloved texture remains the same, even with a different material. We've made numerous design adjustments based on 30 years of careful consideration. We use 98% recycled materials for zippers and other small parts. The evolution shall continue.

We have created the ideal fleece for kids, while ensuring a soft and gentle fabric for their skin. The zip is designed for small hands. We've designed the collar with a chin guard to keep the fastener from touching the chin. There's also a name tag on the back side. Comfort for kids and reassurance for parents, all in one garment.
Fleece made from 100% recycled polyester yarn.
Recycled fibre, made from used plastic products, is the raw material for UNIQLO's fleece. Plastic products are sorted by colour, making full use of AI and high-definition cameras. Then they are broken down into crushed flakes. Not even the slightest impurity is overlooked. The flakes are transformed into 100% recycled polyester yarn.
Fabric brushed by masters.
UNIQLO staff pour the wisdom they have cultivated over the years into the production process. "Fleece is all about brushing", which creates fluffiness and warmth by applying fine needles to the fabric. There are countless choices in just one process, such as how many times to run it through the fabric brushing machine, how many millimetres to cut the pile, and so on. The more the fabric is brushed, the fluffier and more comfortable it becomes but the higher the risk of shedding. We pursue the Golden Ratio of comfort and durability. "There is no perfection. It's all about the accumulation of 'we can do it better.'"
