We used a thicker knit for the body, and a slightly lighter weight for the sleeves. Using meticulous calculations and skilled craft, we created a uniform look for a beautiful finish.

We used stretch-resistant stitches to create a lapel as sharp as that of a woven jacket. The cuffs are also seamless to create a neat finish.
Creating a unique knitted texture.
Balancing ease of wear with a polished look—that was the vision of renowned British designer Clare Waight Keller, who wanted to create a knitted jacket unlike any before. To bring her idea to life, development began from the yarn up at the Knit Innovation Center*. But crafting a single jacket from parts with different knitting styles and sizes proved immensely challenging. The most difficult process was 'fulling', which shrinks the fabric to create its unique texture. Countless adjustments were made to create a light, elegant piece.
