We wanted to design a sleek but highly adaptable garment. The one-piece jacket we designed is made of a knit fabric that doesn’t wrinkle easily (even though knit fabrics are prone to wrinkling). We achieved softness while retaining a sense of firmness by using knitted fabrics of different thickness for each part.

Simplicity from complexity.
When you touch this jacket, you'll notice several different knitted fabrics. The left and right of the front body are made of a thick, firm knitted fabric to give it a bouncy feel, while thinner knitted fabric is used for the sleeves and back body. Normally, fabrics of different textures look different as well. But by using a process that takes their differing shrinkages into account, we've created a uniform look. Behind the simple beauty of this jacket lies meticulous calculations and skilled workmanship.
Even knitjacket can be crisp and stylish.
Jackets are defined by their lapel area. With ordinary jackets, a core is inserted between the outer and lining fabrics to create a sharp contour. Our jacket is made with a single piece of fabric, so by using stretch-resistant stitches on the lining of the lapel, we were able to achieve a beautiful lapel blend, just like on a woven jacket. The cuffs also have no seams, creating a clean edge. There is no compromise to beauty, especially when it comes to knitwear.
Entre technique et passion.
La célèbre créatrice britannique Clare Waight Keller cherchait à créer une veste en maille unique en son genre, alliant simplicité d'utilisation et élégance. Pour donner vie à cette idée, le Centre d'innovation du tricot* s'est d'abord penché sur le développement du fil utilisé. Toutefois, créer une veste à partir de pièces de tailles et de styles de tricot différents s'est avéré extrêmement difficile. Le processus le plus difficile a été le « foulage », qui consiste à rétrécir le tissu pour lui donner sa texture unique. De nombreux ajustements ont été nécessaires pour équilibrer les tailles des différents éléments et leurs finitions. Il en résulte une veste légère et élégante, fruit d'un savoir-faire professionnel.
