Shima no Taiko
Shima no Taiko is a new taiko (Japanese drum) group based in Montreal. The main goal of the group's members is to live and share their passion for taiko, which originated in Japanese culture, by performing pieces from our repertoire using drums, our bodies, our voices, and sometimes even involving the audience!

Le Collectif Taiko Montréal
The Collectif Taiko Montréal brings together long-time collaborators in a flexible group based on a love of taiko. Their goal? To share their love for this art form with the wider taiko community and, of course, with the general public. Their repertoire, while rooted in a long tradition, is predominantly contemporary and North American, reflecting the evolution that Japanese drums have undergone since crossing the ocean to reach us.
