On Friday, June 28th, UNIQLO Canada's head office members took part in a North American-wide initiative to give back to the community while enriching employees' lives. In Canada, this event captured head office employees in Ontario and Quebec, with 30 employees choosing to volunteer. Each employee dedicated 3 hours of their morning to cleaning Alexandra Park Baseball Diamond, Toronto, and Dorchester Square, Montreal.

This collective effort amounted to 90 hours of community service in Toronto and Montreal. During the volunteer event, 43.7 kg of Garbage and 29.2 kg of Recycling were collected following both cities' garbage and recycling guidelines. Curious community members greeted staff members and were able to share a bit about our shared goals for a cleaner community. In Toronto, the UNIQLO team was humorously directed to areas with abundant trash and received warm smiles. While in Montreal, staff members were thanked for their contributions to a cleaner city.

This isn't the first event of its kind; UNIQLO Canada has hosted similar initiatives in Vancouver, BC, and Calgary and Edmonton, AB. The next community cleanup is scheduled for August 2024 to celebrate the opening of its new store in Quebec.
