How to Care for PUFFTECH Outerwear
STEP 1 Read the care label
Always check the care label first. If there is a hand-wash symbol, be sure to wash the garment by hand.
STEP 2 Prepare soapy water
Fill a basin or sink with water and add the recommended amount of neutral detergent. Use lukewarm water (up to 40°C) if the collars or other areas are noticeably dirty.
STEP 3 Pre-treat stains
Before soaking, pre-treat any spots. Use a sponge to work up the neutral detergent into a lather and gently blot without rubbing to avoid damaging the fabric.
Note: Some stains, depending on their type and how long they have been set, may not be completely removed. For stubborn stains, consult a professional dry cleaner.
STEP 4 Gently press wash
Gently fold the garment with the collar and cuffs, which soil easily, are on top, and submerge the entire folded garment in the soapy water. Press 20 to 30 times without kneading, taking care not to crush the filling.
STEP 5 Rinse
Drain the soapy water, then gently press the garment to remove excess water without crushing the filling.
Repeatedly rinse in clean water, changing the water frequently until no suds remain. This prevents any residual detergent from staining or altering the fabric’s texture.
STEP 6 Spin-dry
After draining the soapy water, place the garment in a suitable laundry bag and run a short spin cycle—just enough so that no water drips from the garment when removed.
STEP 7 Air-dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area
Place the garment on a sturdy hanger to maintain its shape, and dry it in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Note: Poor ventilation can cause musty odors and mildew growth.
STEP 8 Even out the filling
Before the garment is completely dry, gently loosen and even out any clumps in the filling by hand.
STEP 9 Hang in the shade again
Hang the garment again in a well-ventilated, shaded area until completely dry.
STEP 10 To correct shifted filling
This product is designed with a special type of filling.
If the filling shifts or clumps after washing, gently blot or knead the affected areas to redistribute it evenly.
