How to Care for Jackets (Removing Wrinkles)

Precautions

POINT 01

Ironing temperature: Cotton/Linen – high (180°C); Wool – medium (140–160°C); Polyester/Nylon – low (110–130°C)

POINT 02

Use a pressing cloth if available. Otherwise, use only the steam setting on your iron, and do not apply the iron directly onto the fabric.
This is the recommended method to help preserve the jacket’s shape.

STEP 1 Shoulders

STEP 1 Shoulders
Drape the jacket over the ironing board. Smooth out wrinkles around the shoulders and armholes while applying steam and ironing gently.

STEP 2 Sleeves

STEP 2 Sleeves
Insert a rolled-up towel from the cuff to the elbow areas, apply steam, and use both hands to smooth out wrinkles.

STEP 3 Front panels

STEP 3 Front panels
Work on one side of the front panel on the ironing board at a time. Be careful not to flatten the three-dimensional shaping of the shoulders, chest, or waist. Apply steam and lightly iron while maintaining the shape of these areas.

STEP 4 Collar and lapels

STEP 4 Collar and lapels
From the reverse side of the lapel, gently stretch perpendicular to the roll line to smooth out wrinkles. Apply steam and lightly iron, taking care not to press out the collar fold. Next, smooth any remaining wrinkles from the front while applying steam, being careful not to flatten the shaping of the collar and lapels.

STEP 5 Back panel

STEP 5 Back panel
Drape the jacket over the ironing board. Gently stretch from the center back toward the sides to smooth out wrinkles, then apply steam and lightly iron.
