How to Care for Fleece to Keep it Soft and Fluffy
How to wash fleece
When machine-washing fleece, turn the garment inside out to reduce friction with other garments, and we recommend using a fine-mesh laundry bag.
To preserve its distinctive soft texture, use the “dry” or “hand-wash” cycle. Be aware that while washing large loads the level of agitation may damage the garment’s texture.
For longer-lasting comfort
If the nap becomes matted, use a clothes brush to lift the fibers and restore the texture.
A mouton brush works well for reviving the nap of high-pile fleece.
If the nap becomes flattened by a bag strap or seatbelt, brushing will help restore softness.
If static is a concern, use fabric softener or an anti-static spray.
