You may choose from Regular or Blind Stitch as
your preferred alteration technique.

A standard method that uses single stitching on both the interier and exterior.
Depending on the length hemmed, traces of removed stitching may remain.
In addition, distressed items will lose the distressing on the part that is hemmed.
BLIND STITCH
Nearly invisible stitching for a neat look.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION ABOUT OUR ALTERATION SERVICE
This service is available only for selected bottoms.
As part of the various services we offer here at UNIQLO, we offer alterations (hem shortening) for selected pants at all of our stores and online. We offer a free normal lock stitch for selected UNIQLO pants priced $29.90 or more. For items priced less than $29.90 and for those requiring a blind stitch, a $6 fee will be applied.
If you are in-store please check with our store team to see which pants can be altered, otherwise if you are shopping online and a style can be shortened, you will find the alteration option available when selecting your colour and size. If the option is not available to select a stitch/length we are not currently offering alterations on this product.
Any altered garments cannot be accepted for a refund or exchange so please take care to measure the right length.
If you have any concerns with how your item was altered or with your garment, please contact our friendly Customer Care team via ‘Chat Support” button or email us for assistance.
Please allow 2-3 business days for our team to alter the item/s and ship your order. As soon as it has been completed and your order is on its way to you we will send your tracking details.
No. At this time our team can only complete alterations for items that have been ordered with the alteration details so please ensure to select and if applicable, pay for this service. We cannot accept any items at our online warehouse for alterations so please visit your local store for this service.
We are unable to re-do an alteration through the online service. If you selected the incorrect measurement and a further shorten is required you can take your items to one of our UNIQLO stores to request a further alteration at a cost (see pricing table above for costs). Once an alteration is completed it can not be lengthened again.
No, our alterations service only includes shortening the length of selected pants and does not include tapering.
If the alteration option wasn’t selected while placing your online order you can still take your pants to your local UNIQLO store to have them altered however please ensure to have your invoice/proof of purchase with you and your item in its original condition. Please keep in mind that not all pants are eligible for alterations.
