Freya Bramble-Carter
Ceramicist
Freya Bramble-Carter is a London-born ceramics artist who shares a studio space with her father and master potter, Chris Bramble. In addition to creating her own work, Freya runs ‘Freya’s Clay Club’ where she facilitates clay sessions for both masters and beginners. Having learnt her craft from her father, Freya creates work inspired by the ethos and beauty of nature.

I just like how versatile and easy-going they are, They suit my lifestyle because they are stretchy and I have to be quite flexible in the studio. They’re like a uniform that I can wear everyday.
While working away in her shared Kilburn-based studio, Freya tells us about the her father’s influential role in defining her career. Immersed in the world of ceramics from a young age, she would admire her fathers sculptures and spend long hours observing him teach. Freya felt compelled to learn more and share the creative energy of the studio with others. Enjoying an active and eclectic lifestyle, Freya loves the versatility of Uniqlo jeans. She explains how they support her through long days spent in the workshop aswell as in her other hobbies like dancing and rock climbing.

Alice Hale
Founder, YING’S Supper Club
Alice Hale is the founder of YING’s Supper Club, London. A vegetarian Chinese pop-up restaurant Inspired by her grandma Ying who moved to Manchester from Guangdong in the 60’s to run a Chinese takeaway resturant. Alice has been running supper clubs for the past year while working at a media company, she dreams of opening her own Chinese teahouse one day.
I love wearing these jeans because they are comfortable and practical, perfect for supper clubs when I’m rushing around and spending long hours in the kitchen.
While making her signature dish, egg and tomato stir fry with pak choi, Alice tells us why she loves to cook and how she enjoys bringing people together through her Supper Clubs. When spending long hours on her feet in the kitchen preparing for her events, Alice loves wearing the women’s baggy jeans in navy. She explains that the relaxed silhouette is comfortable all day and the dark colour means they are great for when things get messy in the kitchen.
