What is LifeWear magazine?
LifeWear is clothing designed to make everyone’s life better.
It is simple, high-quality, everyday clothing with a practical sense of beauty ingenious in detail, thought with life’s needs in mind, and always evolving.
As a way of helping people all over the world to explore the specifics of this clothing and the concepts behind its production, we founded LifeWear magazine.
Issue 04 2021 Spring & Summer
Find Your Healthy
A new spring is here.
A new spring, and a new beginning. In the hopes of reclaiming some semblance of normal life, people are focusing on being healthy. You can feel the spring breeze on your cheeks, and take off your heavy coat. A new spring coat or set of sportswear helps you to feel centered, a return to a more pleasant, active day-to-day. We’re realising that it’s crucial that we pay attention to the little things, not just for ourselves but for each other and the next generation. What we all want, in a word, is to be healthy, in body and in mind. Our hope is that LifeWear and this magazine will give you a boost and help you make a bounty of the coming spring.
For this issue, we interviewed two Japanese people who continue to garner acclaim all over the world. Though fiction and architecture operate on different terms, both figures are currently focused on establishing libraries. We’ll let them say more in their own words, but for now, it’s fascinating to consider that the two of them arrived at libraries, a place we come together, as one way to support the younger generation.

About artworks
The cover and the art below were selected by the editorial team from the work of illustrator Mizumaru Anzai, who sadly passed away in 2014.
A close friend of Haruki Murakami, who graciously participated in an interview for this issue, Anzai created covers for several of his books, including A Slow Boat to China.
Together, they wrote the children’s book Fuwa Fuwa. Don't miss Murakami's interview, where he shares some memories of times with Anzai.
