We have dedicated fans and believe our world class customer service, innovative products, high quality fabrics and large variety of styles made to improve people's everyday lives will entice a whole new group of customers," said Larry Meyer, COO of UNIQLO USA and Fast Retailing Group Senior Vice President.
To celebrate, UNIQLO has created the free UNIQLO USA app for Apple products. It will be available on Android devices later this year. By using the app's Virtual Cam on UNIQLO logos and icons, fans will have access to behind-the-scenes videos, current employment opportunities, "weekly favorites" and a store locator. They will also be the first to know about new arrivals, special promotions and more.
To support their retail expansion, a new UNIQLO.com will debut this fall. Customers will find a more interactive site featuring digital life tools, how-to videos, in-depth product information and an insider look at LifeWear.
The new stores are strategically placed surrounding the brand's current flagship stores on the East and West Coasts. To staff the new stores, UNIQLO is still in process of hiring and training several hundred full-time and part-time employees at all levels. For more information on open positions, use the new app or visit www.uniqlo.com.
There are currently seven open stores, including three in New York City (5th Ave., 34th St., Soho New York), two in New York State (Westchester's Ridge Hill, Palisades Center), one in Paramus, NJ (Westfield Garden State Plaza), and one in San Francisco, CA (Union Square).
