PRIVACY POLICY FOR US CUSTOMERS
In view of the importance of protecting personal information, Uniqlo Co., Ltd. ("Uniqlo") a company ("kabushikigaisha") incorporated in Japan, with its head office at 717-1 Sayama, Yamaguchi City, Yamaguchi, 754-0894, Japan, strives to protect the privacy of its customers by acting in accordance with the "Act on the Protection of Personal Information" and this Privacy Policy and by properly managing its customers' personal information.

1. DEFINITION OF PERSONAL INFORMATON
Personal information means any information relating to individual customers ("Personal Information"), such as their names, addresses and telephone numbers, by which individual customers may be identified. Personal Information also includes information which can be used to identify individual customers when collated with other information.
2. COLLECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
When requesting customers to provide Personal Information, Uniqlo shall notify such customers of the specific purpose of use and the scope of third parties to whom Uniqlo may provide the Personal Information. Uniqlo shall only collect Personal Information upon obtaining the customer's consent. Consent will be implied by initiating a purchase or other transaction, or otherwise providing Uniqlo with personal information.
3. USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
3.1 Uniqlo shall use customer Personal Information in order to:
3.1.1 respond to customer inquiries;
3.1.2 provide Uniqlo's merchandise and services;
3.1.3 provide information concerning merchandise and services;
3.1.4 develop merchandise and otherwise improve services; and,
3.1.5 provide such information to third parties in the circumstances stipulated in Clause 4.
3.2 Uniqlo shall obtain further consent from the relevant customer if it needs to use Personal Information for purposes exceeding the scope of the uses detailed in Clause 3.1 above.
4. PROVISION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION TO THIRD PARTIES
4.1 Uniqlo shall not disclose customer Personal Information to third parties without obtaining the consent of such customers, except where:
4.1.1 Uniqlo is required by law, court order or other legal process;
4.1.2 Uniqlo discloses Personal Information to department stores where Uniqlo is a tenant provided that Uniqlo imposes confidentiality obligations on the recipient department store; or
4.1.3 Uniqlo outsources all or part of its operations for handling Personal Information to third parties (including group companies). These third parties shall use the information only to carry out the function outsourced to them.
4.1.4 as otherwise necessary to protect or defend the rights and property of Uniqlo.
4.2 If Uniqlo provides Personal Information, or outsources the handling of Personal Information, to any third parties, in addition to exercising due consideration in the selection of the recipient Uniqlo shall also strive to prevent any leakage, loss or alteration of such information by entering into agreements regarding the handling of Personal Information.
5. MANAGEMENT OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
5.1 Uniqlo shall properly manage the Personal Information which it collects from customers and shall use commercially reasonable efforts to prevent the leakage, loss or inaccurate recording of the details of such information.
5.2 Uniqlo shall put in place a Personal Information manager and strive to maintain and improve its information management systems and organisational framework.
5.3 To ensure the security of Personal Information, Uniqlo shall strive to implement information security measures for the prevention of unauthorised computer access and leakage, loss or alteration of Personal Information.
5.4 Uniqlo entrusts part of the management of Personal Information collected from customers to its parent company Fast Retailing to have Fast Retailing carry out the function of services outsourced by Uniqlo. 6. EDUCATION AND MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS
Uniqlo shall prepare and develop Personal Information Handling Guidelines and conduct employee education on a continuous basis.
7. CUSTOMER INQUIRIES
Uniqlo shall promptly comply with any customer requests to disclose, amend, or suspend the use of, Personal Information, provided that when such a request is made Uniqlo shall use appropriate procedures to confirm the identity of such customer in order to prevent any leakage of information through fraudulent requests for disclosure.

8. AMENDMENTS
Uniqlo shall post on the Uniqlo On-Line Store website proposed material changes to the Privacy Policy a minimum of 30 days prior to the effective date of such changes.
9. USE OF COOKIES
9.1 Cookies refers to the technique whereby the information of customers who use the website is stored and managed on their computer hard drives.
9.2 Uniqlo's website includes web pages in which we use cookies to ensure that customers may use the website more conveniently.
9.3 Amending the browser setting to disable cookies may result in a customer not being able to use all or part of the services, including the purchase of merchandise. To improve the website, cookies may also be used to monitor customer website usage without identifying individual customers.
10. APPLICABLE LAW
Any collection or use of customer Personal Information by Uniqlo shall be in accordance with applicable Japanese law including, but not limited to, the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and subordinate laws and ordinances thereof.
